About Me

I began my journey to wellness over ten years ago upon discovering the book Healing with Whole Foods by Paul Pitchford.  Prior to reading that book I had never given much thought to how each person has unique needs and body types.  As a young uneducated vegetarian, I was busy munching on processed fake-meat products wondering why I felt so spaced out all the time.  I was tired, moody, unhappy and looking for answers. Fed up with feeling stuck, I started doing my own research and came across a book and way of living that changed my life.

Using Healing with Whole Foods and Traditional Chinese Medicine, I began to discover and listen to my own body’s needs not just with food, but with everything in life.  My relationships, my passions, my career.  Suddenly my life just opened up before me.  I traveled to different countries, I met my husband, and awakened a passion for food and wellness I never imagined.

In 2006, my dream came true to study with the man himself who inspired me so long ago, Paul Pitchford.  I joined Paul at the Heartwood Institute among the beautiful mountains in Northern California and became certified in Asian Healing Arts & Whole Foods Nutrition.  My studies at the Heartwood Institute provided me a new and unique approach to working with individuals on their healing path by blending East Asian approaches to wellness, sound nutritional practices, and contemporary scientific perspectives.

In 2007 I founded Four Branch Healing and have passionately enjoyed my thriving practice as a Holistic Health Counselor since.  The four areas of healing I focus on with people are awareness, movement, nutrition and support.  I learned early on in my practice that in addition to discovering what foods truly work for them, people made some of their biggest discoveries just by TALKING!  Talking about their stressful jobs, their unhappy relationships, their loneliness, or about feeling stuck.  With my support, my clients are able to uncover what is really at the root of their illnesses and unhappiness simply by picking up the phone or meeting twice a month.

I can’t describe how great it feels to help people wake up and feel their best!

In addition to my studies at the Heartwood Institute, I am also a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), which is the only nutrition school integrating all the different dietary theories—combining the knowledge of traditional philosophies with modern concepts and cutting edge theories.  IIN was founded by Joshua Rosenthal, a man whose charismatic way of helping others discover their potential, deeply resonates with my approach to health and wellness.

My life adventure continues in New York City where I currently reside with my husband Joshua and two kitties.
